Rod End Bearings

Rod end bearings are available in a wide range of designs and materials to suit light to heavy duty industrial/mechanical applications requiring low friction, and good wear resistance.

Both male rod ends and female rod ends are available with either metric or imperial threads and bore sizes. A wide choice of bearing liners are available including, GR-Nylon, Polyurethane, Bronze, Steel/PTFE. Internationally patented designs offer maintenance free options suitable for high precision motion transfer applications and extended life.

Metric rod ends are based on DIN 648 specifications and imperial rod ends are based on SAE J1120 specification. All products are ELV and RoHS compliant.

Studded Rod End Bearings

Medway studded rod end bearings are available in both metric and imperial sizes, they are based on the above specification but with the addition of a male stud added to the bore, a wide range of studs are available.

Spherical Bearings

Spherical bearings are available in a wide range of designs and materials to suit light to heavy duty industrial/mechanical applications requiring low friction and good wear resistance.

Ball Joints

Our range of ball joints extends to eleven different types all having been designed for a specific purpose or application, smooth action, severe wear conditions, vibration and shock loads are examples of these applications.

Materials include light-weight nylon, die cast Zinc alloy, steel and stainless steel are available in styles incorporating retaining springs, safety clips, swaging, nylon liners and detachable studs.

Metric ball-joints are based on DIN 71802 and DIN 71803 and imperial ball-joints are based on SAE J 490 specification.

Clevis Joints

Clevis joints, also known as 'yoke' or fork' ends, are available in both metric and imperial thread and hole sizes. In addition to our standard range, we have produced over 2000 different designs to suit individual customer requirements.

Folding spring pins along with standard Clevis pins are available to ease assembly of clevises with their mating parts as well as 2 designs of safety clips.

Metric clevis components are based on DIN 1752 and imperial clevises are based on DIN 71802.

Rod based Linkage Assemblies

Medway is the UK's market leader for linkage related components such as rod end bearings, ball joints and clevises as shown above, but in addition we are able to produce a wide range of custom made linkage assemblies to suit individual customer requirements.

Our rod-based linkage assemblies comprise typically of a linkage rod, and two linkage components. An example would be a formed rod with a clevis at one end and a rod end bearing at the other. The centres of the components might be set to a pre-determined distance.

Such assemblies are used in a wide variety of applications, agricultural and construction equipment, hospital beds, stair-lifts, road sweepers, shopping scooters, motor-sport, position sensors, lawn mowers, luxury cars... and so on. Medway linkages are used in almost every conceivable engineering application, and supplied to some of the worlds most highly renowned original equipment manufacturers.
